Whoaaaaaaaaaaa... there's the catch; the price tag. I think I'll dip my baby toe into MacBook world, if you don't mind. Neat, but a little too utilitarian (as Elaine Benes refers to the human male body).
Mac's are great. And you are correct...if you don't need a highly durable, sealed-against-the-elements, outdoor computer, it would be foolish to pay for one. Rugged computers cost more than commercial, plastic computers due to the higher costs of engineering, higher costs of components and the high-quality manufacturing and testing.
